Job Summary

Plan and oversee the projects within scope, timeline, and outcome, while monitoring, tracking, and reporting to key stakeholders of progress. Additionally, ensure the established goal of breaking digital and operational silos, upgrading, or replacing legacy systems and platforms in various areas, including HR, Payroll, Accounting, Development Office, Admissions, Online Student Services, and others, are met.

Job Requirements

1.  Determine and define project scope and objectives.

2.  Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments.

3.  Develop and manage a detailed project schedule, work, and communication plan.

4.  Provide project updates regularly to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.

5.  Coordinate with business units on contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.

6.  Maintain a clear record of roles and responsibilities of the team and stakeholders, track progress, remove barriers, and adjust as needed.

7.   Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.

8.  Performed other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications

·  BA in Business, Information Systems, or related area.

·  5 to 8 years of experience managing cross-functional projects from inception to conclusion. Experience with higher education administration and finance systems and structure is a plus.

·  Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

·  Excellent analytical skills

·  Prior experience with software and system upgrading and migration preferred

·  Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

·  Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

·  Excellent written and oral communication skills

·  Forward-thinking and resourceful to skirt red tape and ensure solutions are brought to fruition, and requirements are adequately closed.

·  People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations
